The Need for the Bead -

Fluorescent Particles for Flow Cytometry

Set-up and monitoring of flow cytometry instrument performance is frequently done using fluorescent microparticles-beads.

Beads have the important intrinsic characteristic of being stable and reproducible, making them a preferred tool for ensuring consistent daily high performance of your instrument.

The Rainbow Particles described below are highly uniform in size, and can be excited by laser lines from 365 to 650 nm, and emitting all over the spectrum from UV to far red.

Beads for Alignment

Rainbow Fluorescent Particles (RFP) have characteristics
such as

  • Single peak
  • Entrapped dye - very stable
  • Excited by all lasers (365-650nm)
  • Emitting in all channels
  • Dropper bottle, easy to use
  • Stable for years, can be aliquotted and frozen
Among the range of beads for flow cytometry you will also find

  • Beads for calibration; Rainbow Calibration Particles (RCP)
  • Beads for setting compensation; EasyComp Florescent Particles (ECFP) and COMPtrol (CMIgP)

You are most welcome to discuss which beads will suit your needs the best.

During July and August we offer you a 15% discount on selected fluorescent beads.
