| Notes | CD11b is a membranous protein with a role in adhesive interactions of many leukocytes, especially macrophages, and subsets of lymphocytes. The expression of CD11b increases during maturation and expression levels vary depending on the type of cell. CD11b can be used as common myeloid and NK cell marker. Useful marker for acute promyelocytic leukemia, hair cell leukemia and AML differentiations. Systemic lupus erythematosus is also shown to be associated with CD11b dysfunction. |
